TLC Naturals GROW It Challenge
Week Two…
So I’m at the end of week two of the GROW It Challenge and almost halfway through my little tub of magic!
I had a quick Co-Wash during the week, and decided to DC overnight with a Bentonite Clay mix leftover from a couple of weeks ago.It was clear to see the difference in my hair since starting the GROW It Challenge. I had Tweeted Paige earlier in the week to let Her know that my hair was unbelievably soft - truly it felt like the hair of a newborn Angel!
She told me that this is down to the MSM and carefully selected Ayurvedic herbs blended in GROW It Hair Cream. Paige also assured me that using the product wouldn’t change the texture of my hair too much.
After rinsing out the Bentonite Clay and washing with KeraCare Cleansing Cream, I noticed immediately that my usual breakage and shedding were nowhere to be seen.
Just to be sure, I kinda gave my wet hair a gentle tug (!) and was chuffed that nothing came out. My hair was also really manageable whilst washing.Following the GROW It regimen, I’ve been applying the Cream to the ends of my hair every morning after spritzing, greasing my scalp twice a week and massaging the Cream into my hairline every night.
So far I’m seeing a nice little bit of regrowth along my hairline and I’m hoping that this will continue over the next few weeks.
Actual growth I’m not too sure about. I wasn’t sure if had to physically measure my hair (don’t laugh) so I’m kinda going by how much my roots need retouching (I said don’t laugh)! There is a noticeable difference, but I’m sticking close to the fence for now.
In all, so far so good.
My only issue is knowing how much to use; I am rubbish at quantities, hence why I’m down to almost half a jar!
Looks like I’ma be ordering another one!Next GROW It Challenge update in two weeks Naturalistas!

The lovely Paige over at TLC Naturals kindly agreed to let me loose on the latest product in Her Natural Haircare Range, GROW It Hair Cream.
Now, Paige being Paige decided to make this a little interesting. My review on the GROW It Hair Cream will be posted over the coming weeks, as Paige has set this up as a challenge to prove that Her product does exactly what it says on the tub!
The TLC Naturals GROW It Hair Cream is specially formulated to treat hair loss and slow growth, and is jam-packed with ayurvedic plants, MSM, herbs and essential oils that aid scalp growth, repair damage and increase the strength and volume of the hair.
My mission is to use the cream once or twice daily as part of my usual Natural Haircare routine, and document my findings here on the Blog.
After using my latest freebie, KeraCare’s Natural Textures Cleansing Cream to wash my hair, I set about using GROW It for the first time.
I must say, I’m rather impressed that I get a full-sized product to use and review. On first glance, GROW It reminds me of a more solid form of Calamine Lotion! It does have a very slight medicinal fragrance, but this is in no way overpowering. The cream itself is very light and very thick if that makes sense? It does to me!
Paige suggests using GROW It once or twice daily, either directly after washing Your hair or before using Your usual Spritz or Leave In Conditioner.
Following instructions I applied the cream to my freshly washed hair, paying attention to the strands and the ends. I then went to work on my hairline, massaging the cream in using circular motions with my fingertips. There’s actually a nice cooling sensation during this process; it’s not as…zingy as the mentholated sensation I get from other products (Dr. Hobbs and Virgin in particular), but You know that GROW It is doing its thing.
Next I did the thing I hate most; greasing my scalp!
A little of the cream goes a very long way, and again that cooling sensation really does stimulate the scalp.
I finished up with Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque as a leave-in, tousled with my fingers like I do everyday and that was it!
Now, I never usually stick with the same products on a daily basis when it comes to my hair, but for the purposes of the GROW It challenge, I shall be faithfully sticking to twice a day until the jar is done, alongside my trusty day and night Spritzes!
I’ll be posting pics and a little commentary fortnightly as part of the challenge. If You or anyone You know is taking part, feel free to reblog and share the link to the TLC Naturals site/Blog.
